The course gives knowledge about using and modeling complex problems and give abilities to discover, track and investigate incidents and intrusions which are causing problems in an organization.
The course will have a safety critical perspective on security, safety and ethics. Other issues are quality and some relevant standards. When automating business processes the possibilities for actors' learning are decreasing and this will lead to loss of knowledge of how to handle hazards and thus process disruptions. The support of knowledge development strategies will be improved by interactive simulations and modeling, and this will improve safer and more effective running of the operation environment. The course will also give some practical abilities in how to set up and develop planning skills to handle critical situations in an organizational environment. The course will show a number of incident models and analyzes of problems and the traces which can be found when IT is used for controlling and monitoring critical processes.
