Entry requirements

In order to meet the general entry requirements for first cycle studies you must have successfully completed upper secondary education and documented skills in English language and Teacher education or equivalent, experience of teaching at university level in aesthetical* subjects alternatively admitted doctoral student with teaching obligation.

The selection is based on 1-165 credits.

Course Aim
To give teachers at university level an in-depth knowledge of, and possibility for reflection over the development of his/her role as a university teacher. View on learning and pedagogical models in relation to governing documents and the visions of the working place are important aspects of this.

Learning and didactics in a univerity environment, different models as a basis for teaching
Aesthetic learning in higher education
Critical friends, fellow teacher observation
Reflection and dialogue on the personal practice
Formative and summary evaluation, and examination
Teacher\'s attitude towards human beings, environment, society, research and governing documents
Student participation at different levels
Pedagogical qualification

Lectures of internal and external teachers
Discussions in smaller and larger groups
Collective reflection, logbook writing emanating from lectures, literature and own practice
Alternative ways of accounting
Observation of teaching by others
Active development of own practice.

Continuous accounting of logbook, collective reflection and observations, and a conclusive written report of the before mentioned.

* aethetical subjects refer to music, dance, drama, media, sound technique, visual art or equivalent.
