In order to meet the general entry requirements for first cycle studies you must have successfully completed upper secondary education and documented skills in English language

The selection is based on final school grades or Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test.

Course Aim
The student should have basic knowledge in graphic deign and how to use computer aided design tools. The students should also be able to verbally and visually present their work.

Graphic design:
  • the basics of typography
  • graphic design
  • visual communication.
  • analog exercises
  • basics of computer graphics.
Digital tools:
  • Photoshop - Pixel Graphics
  • Illustrator - Vector Graphics
  • Indesign - layout
  • PowerPoint - visual support for presentation
Presentation technique:
Three verbal and non verbal presentation to be made. The presentations take place in small groups at the beginning of the course and in larger groups at the end of the course. All verbal presentations are recorded on video. The students will then view these in order to evaluate their own effort. A review of a presentation environment and its technological capabilities is made.

Lectures, where theory is mixed with exercises, and presentations. The course requires a lot of time spent on individual work. The programs are provided on the school computers. The course can be taught in English as a supervised reading course.

Passing the course requires attendance at presentations, and carried out home assignments. Grading criteria for the each assignment will be provided in a separate course plan.
Grading: 3 4 5

Students must register for the courses themselves, or contact ETS educational administration, not later than three days after the quarter commences. Failure to do so can result in the place being lost. This rule also applies to students with a guaranteed place.
