More information about English language requirements SelectionThe selection is based on 1-165 credits.Course Aim After the course, students should be able to: Understand the need for computerized support of managerial decision making Understand the evolution of enterprise systems Define Enterprise Systems Define the components of enterprise systems Explain the role of enterprise systems Explain the functional organizational structure Illustrate the flows in business processes Understand the types of data in enterprise systems Describe the various ERP implementation methods Explain the core business processes: procurement, fulfillment, and production Explain integrated business processes Explain how to manage ERP projects Contents This course is setout to provide in-depth understanding of enterprise-wide systems commonly referred to as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems or Enterprise Systems (ES). These are large-scale systems that encompass most of an organization’s business processes in an integrated manner. The course will cover those topics: Introduction to enterprise systems Business process Main functions and business processes in organizations Integrated business processes Document and master data required Implementation methodologies ERP project management Realization During the course, students will work on individual tasks on Open Source ERP systems in order to solve business problems and cases. Teaching is in English and consists of teacher-led lectures (on campus and internet), tasks that you solve individually or in groups, discussions and tutoring.
