Entry requirements

In order to meet the general entry requirements for first cycle studies you must have successfully completed upper secondary education and documented skills in English language and 60 credits in Graphic design or Media Design and the courses D0040A Graphic design: Typography and semantics 2 and D0041A Graphic design: Identity design or equivalent.

Selection

The selection is based on 1-165 credits.



Course Aim
  • demonstrate knowledge and understanding of practical and theoretical perspectives in graphic design
  • demonstrate knowledge of and experience with methods
  • demonstrate ability to analyze and interpret the recipient, sender, user and client perspective
  • show professionalism in contact with industry and society
  • show the ability to formulate defined and relevant issues for graphic design in broad contemporary and forward-looking sense
  • demonstrate ability to perform tasks within given time frames
  • demonstrate ability to speak orally and in writing or otherwise explain and discuss your work and its artistic issues with different groups
  • demonstrate ability to make judgments with regard to relevant design, artistic, social and ethical aspects
  • show the ability to interpret, question and highlight aspects that contribute to new or deeper knowledge within design area

Contents
The course is one of the final steps in concluding your education in graphic design and involves independent implementation of a design reflection from one or more graphic design companies, conducted as a study visit or internship (vocational education).

Realization
The course consists of independent implementation of study visits and/or internship in the graphic design/media/communications business.

Remarks
Students must register for the courses themselves, or contact ETS educational administration eduets@ltu.se, not later than three days after the quarter commences. Failure to do so can result in the place being lost. This rule also applies to students with a guaranteed place.
