Entry requirements

In order to meet the general entry requirements for first cycle studies you must have successfully completed upper secondary education and documented skills in English language and TOEFL score 550 or 215 on the computerised test IELTS (6) Final grade from KSS745, 5 points.

Selection

The selection is based on final school grades or Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test.



Course Aim
The purpose of this course is to improve the student’s general spoken and written English.

Contents
The course will be given in English, and will include spoken English including pronunciation, written English and grammar.

Realization
Classroom teaching, pair-work and group work.

Examination
Continual assessment for spoken English plus written assignments. Obligatory attendence.
Grade scale: Fail, 3, 4, 5

Remarks
This is NOT a beginner’s course. You should have a good command of English before beginning the course. The usual requirements for studying at the university apply:

• TOEFL score 550 or 215 on the computerised test
• IELTS (6).
