Entry requirements

General entry requirements, first cycle with excemption from Engslish reqirements and Musical knowledge in Organ at the level of University/College, or documented musical knowledge equivalent to the level of University/College as private studies. Your application must be supported by a resume and/or references, a repertoire list and a recording with 2 optional pieces of music emailed in digital format or as a youtube-link no later than March 15th 2018 to the School of Music, Please include: Cahman Organ, name and social security number. Basic knowledge in English language is recommended.

Course Aim
The aims of the Course are to give the student a working knowledge of playing and registration technique at an historic instrument as well as the ability to adapt baroque music to other organs.

Led by eminent musicians and pedagogues, the student will be working with interpretation (both musically and technically) of repertoire  adapted to the student´s instrumental level and skill. The teaching will be done in Masterclasses. Individual lessons may also occur. The course also contains several seminars including discussions and reflections, and official concerts.

The course takes place at Lövstabruk, Tierp, Sweden, in the summer of 2018, during "The International Organ Academy".

Each lesson provides an examination elements and assessed by the teacher. The student should also submit a written reflection and evaluation. To pass the course the student should: be able to describe acquired knowledge and carry out the assigned tasks in accordance with the course objectives
