The selection is based on 1-165 credits.



Course Aim

After having completed the course the student shall;

-be able to demonstrate fundamental ability and knowledge in composition
-be able to demonstrate fundamental abilities in processing a musical concept based on the musical parameters
-be able to demonstrate fundamental knowledge of the musical craft; composition techniques viewed from a historical, functional, philosophical and artistic perspective


Contents

Composition exercises as well as own composition of resonating music.

Analyses of contemporary and classical composition techniques, artistic and conceptual points of departure.
