Selection

The selection is based on final school grades or Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test.



Course Aim
After the student is examined from this course the student can identify and solve basic juridical problems. The course gives the student fundamental knowledge of legal source materials and the judicial system’s structure.

Contents
In the beginning of the course the student gets an introduction of legal sources and the legal system’s framework as well as an introduction to legal problem solving methods. This course gives an introduction in contract law, family law is covered afterwards. Other judicial areas dealt with are compensation law, real estate law, procedural law, criminal law, market law, administrative law, employment law and association law which include the regulations collaboration in different company forms.

Realization
Instruction consists of lectures, seminars and exercises.

Examination
A written examination is given at the close of the course.

Remarks
Students must register for the courses themselves, or contact ETS educational administration eduets@ltu.se,not later than three days after the quarter commences. Failure to do so can result in the place being lost. This rule also applies to students with a guaranteed place.

Transition terms
Due to similar content, the course can not be included in a degree together with the courses J0002N, J0003N, J0008N or J0030N or other courses with similar content.
