Course Aim
Attain a basic ability to design common bridge types.

Contents
Bridge types, aesthetics, planning, design, loads, safety, maintenance, repair and life cycle analysis.

Realization
There will projects to design one or two types of bridges. The projects are introduced by lectures; Every student will present his/her projects during a final seminar. There will be a study trip during one day with visits to different bridge types.

Examination
Presence at study trip and seminars. Passed project reports.
