Entry requirements

In order to meet the general entry reguirements for first cycle studies you must have successfully completed upper secondary education and documented skills in English language. and Basic Courses in Programming and Database Techniques, for example L0002B and L0003B or analogous knowledge acquired through other courses or proved practical work.

Selection B

Course Aim
The aim of the course is to give the students ability to understand and explain object oriented principals and concepts and how these are realized in C#. They shall also be able to apply this knowledge in program development for Windows. Further more the students shall master programming techniques involving database management and necessary error handling. Students shall be familiar with and understand how, maps can be integrated in an application.

• IDE (Integrated Development Environment)
• Classes and objects
• Flow of control
• Methods
• Arrays
• Inheritance
• Polymorphism, interfaces and overloading
• Error handling
• Strings
• Files and streams
• Database management with ADO.NET
• ActiveX component for maps (MS MapPoint)

Lectures, laboratory work. No compulsory lectures.

Assignment reports.

Courses followed through Internet demands access to some sort of broadband.
This course is available in both English and Swedish version.
