Entry requirements

In order to meet the general entry requirements for first cycle studies you must have successfully completed upper secondary education and documented skills in English language and Basic Courses in Geographical Information Systems (GIS), for example L0020B, Geographic Information Technology or analogous knowledge acquired through other courses or proved practical work.

Selection

The selection is based on 1-165 credits.

Course Aim

The aim of the course is to give the students, the general GIS user as well as specialists, ability to perform better and more qualitative geographical analysis in different application areas. Further more the students shall be familiar with methodsand techniques for modeling geographical data, with focus on practices.

- Spatial analyst - Raster analyst - Vector analyst - 3d Analys

Realization

Lectures, laboratory work. No compulsory lectures. Exercises and assignments are conducted in ESRI software. Software is accessed through web portal.

Examination

Assignment reports.
