In order to meet the general entry reguirements for first cycle studies you must have successfully completed upper secondary education and documented skills in English language. + Swedish upper secondary school courses Mathematics 4 (specifik entry A9). Or: Swedish upper secondary school courses Mathematics E (specifik entry 9)

Selection A

Course Aim
After the course one should have a broader and deeper knowledge of mathematics and be able to apply it in different situations. It can also be used as an integral part of a teacher degree.

Mathematics A consists of an combination of four courses:
I) Algebra and geometry M0008M (logic, the integers, Diophantine equations, combinatorics, Euclidean geometry etc.)
II) Calculus M0029M (limit, continuity, differentiation, extreme value problems, Taylor formula etc.)
III) Discrete Mathematics M0009M (combinatorics, set theory, functions, relations, modular arithmetic, graphs, coding etc.)
IV) Linear algebra and calculus M0030M (integration with applications, vectors, matrices, linear system of equations etc.)

Lectures, problem solving and computer tasks.

Written exams and computer tasks.
