In connection with the various components of the course, introductory and inspiring lectures are offered by supervisors, specialist doctors or other medical professions. These lectures are followed by mandatory assignments which the course participants carry out individually or in groups. Examples are taken from daily work. The course seminars are exams as well as opportunities for students to learn from each other. For each mandatory event (lessons, seminars), the course participants must prepare by working on assignments individually or in groups.

If there is a decision on special educational support, in accordance with the Guideline Student's rights and obligations at Luleå University of Technology, an adapted or alternative form of examination can be provided.

The course is examined through mandatory components (lessons) and with a pass/pass with credit in written assignments and presentations at seminars.
