Selection

The selection is based on final school grades or Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test.



Course Aim
  • Account for anatomical terms and nomenclature
  • Reflect on how the different organ systems interact and affect each other during rest and activity
  • Conduct a rudimentary analysis of movement and understand and apply functioning anatomy
  • Evaluate other individual projects and evaluate the quality of the work on anatomical structures

Contents
  • The anatomy and physiology of the movement organs, especially the construction and function of the skeletal muscles, and the interaction with other organ systems.
  • Functional anatomy
  • Swedish and Latin nomenclature

Realization
Each course occasion´s language and form is stated and appear on the course page on Luleå University of Technology's website.
Lessons are conducted by individual remote study of literature, 3D anatomy programs, laboratory work on the musculoskeletal system and compulsory seminars. The lessons include reflection, evaluating others’ progress and giving each other feedback.

Lessons take place through the web based learning platform Canvas and the seminars are broadcasted by ZOOM.


Examination
If there is a decision on special educational support, in accordance with the Guideline Student's rights and obligations at Luleå University of Technology, an adapted or alternative form of examination can be provided.
Examination of Objective 1 takes place through compulsory quizzes and graded seminars (module 2). Objective 2 is examined through a written take-home exam (module 4). Objective 3 is presented through a video recording (module 3). Objective 4 is conducted through written reflections on each other’s work from the video recording (module 3). Criteria for grades G and VG are described on Canvas.

Remarks
The course is given at an firs-cycle level. Tutoring is available in the course room in Canvas.
