Entry requirements

Bachelor degree or equivalent within the subject area and knowledge in wireless networks and network programming (e.g. D7001D Network programming and distributed applications and D7030E Advanced wireless networks). Good knowledge in English equivalent to English 6.

The selection is based on 20-285 credits



Course Aim
After course completion, the student should be able to demonstrate:
  • ability to independently and in groups be able to plan, analyze, specify, create a design and develop an distributed system
  • ability to test and evaluate the system
  • ability to document and orally present the results

Contents
The course includes a group project where the assignment is a current and interesting problem in the area of distributed computing systems for sustainable development. Students are introduced in Agile development and expected to use the knowledge they have acquired in previous courses and search and study literature to solve the task.

Realization
Each course occasion´s language and form is stated and appear on the course page on Luleå University of Technology's website.
Lectures and project work. Progress in the project are presented in writing and orally at regular presentations.

Examination
If there is a decision on special educational support, in accordance with the Guideline Student's rights and obligations at Luleå University of Technology, an adapted or alternative form of examination can be provided.
Written and oral presentation of project and demonstration of the system.
