The selection is based on 1-165 credits.



Course Aim
The student should, on completion of the course, with an ethical approach:
  • describe and reflect on the care culture's importance for nursing
  • define and describe the domain and responsibility of the nurse
  • describe, reflect on and argue for the responsibility and role of the nurse regarding leading and distributing the nursing work and interacting with other professions
  • critically review the organisation of health care and suggest changes with relevance to nursing
  • describe and apply methods for quality assurance and change management
  • describe and apply relevant laws and regulations for the field

Realization
Teaching and learning take place through individual studies, seminars and lectures. Lectures are given in selected course sections. Participation in seminars is compulsory.

Examination
Individual written examination, seminar and assignment report.

Grading criteria for Pass and Pass with distinction are stated in the study guide.

Remarks
The course is given for first-cycle studies within the nursing programme. Study guide is provided in the course room in Canvas.
