Accounting and Auditing

The course covers accounting and auditing. The focus of the course is to produce a complete annual report. The purpose of auditing and the role of the accountant are also discussed within this course.
The course includes two sub-areas; accounting and auditing. In the first part of the course the students prepare an annual report in accordance with prevailing laws, accounting principles and recommendations. The annual report contains of several different interim reports, for example an administration report, a balance sheet, income statements and supplementary disclosures. In the work of preparing these interim reports and the final annual report, several professional judgments has to be made. In the latter part of the course the purpose of auditing is discussed as well as the role of the accountant and the prevailing expectations on the accountant.
