The ability to apply and integrate the different areas of business administration equal to the course aim of O0008N Integral course, Business Administration as well as knowledge and abilities equal to the aims of the courses R0020N Group accounting and R0016N Accounting and Control/R0001N Management Control or one of these replaced with other specialization course in accounting och control as approved by examiner.

Course Aim

Upon completion of this course the student should be able to theorize and reflect upon the relationships between strategy, organization and management control.

The student should also be able to theorize and reflect upon behavioural aspects related to management control.

The student should critically assess the theories and models included in the course.

The course brings up theories of Management Control in a broader sense and from different perspectives. It deals with both the managing of an organisation and the managing within an organisation, the latter on various organisational levels. The strategic Management Control will be studied and linked to management philosophy and business development.

Lectures, lessons, seminars and work shops.

The examination is assessed in performances at work shops and the compulsory sessions, in compulsory case studies (assignment reports) and take-home examination. The course awards the grades pass with distinction (VG) pass (G) or fail (U).

Students must register for the courses themselves, or contact ETS educational administration, not later than three days after the quarter commences. Failure to do so can result in the place being lost. This rule also applies to students with a guaranteed place.
