Entry requirements

In order to meet the general entry requirements for first cycle studies you must have successfully completed upper secondary education and documented skills in English language and In order to meet the general entry requirements for first cycle studies you must have successfully completed upper secondary education. Requirements are also a bachelor in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nursing, radiographic nurse, biomedical analysist, dietitian, speech therapist or equivalent education.

Selection

The selection is based on 1-165 credits.



Course Aim
On completing the course the student should, from a scientific foundation and on the basis of current laws and regulations and with an ethical approach, be able to:

Explain theories in education and their influence on the interaction between supervisor and students in work placement training.
Explain and compare various models and their consequences on supervision.
Reflect over and, using an educational strategy, assess their own roles and perspectives on supervision.
Describe the importance of reflection for learning in work placement training (VFU).

Realization

The course is structured as a distance course and is conducted on a part-time basis. It is a single-subject course. The course builds on the student’s previous experiences and active knowledge acquisition.  Teaching and learning via independent studies, written assignments and seminars. Lectures are given on selected course segments. The course requires mandatory attendance  at  seminars and examination seminars.


Examination

Individual written report and seminar.
Grading criteria for Pass and Pass with Distinction are stated in the study guide.
