More information about English language requirements SelectionThe selection is based on 1-165 credits.Course Aim The student should after the end of the course be able to: • Account for how groups function in working life • Explain some of the driving forces which lie behind individuals and their performance at the work place • Apply concepts and theories about individuals and groups with the purpose of increasing work performance, dealing with conflicts and develop working teams • Account for and analyze group dynamics in a working team.Contents How working groups form, develop and are led. Group mechanisms and group processes. Interaction and communication in the work group. Managing conflict and crisis. Focus is furthermore on the individual’s driving forces and conditions in working life in connection to flexibility and boundaryless work.Realization Each course occasion´s language and form is stated and appear on the course page on Luleå University of Technology's website. Lectures, group assignments and seminarsExamination If there is a decision on special educational support, in accordance with the Guideline Student's rights and obligations at Luleå University of Technology, an adapted or alternative form of examination can be provided. The examination consists of mandatory seminars (2.5 credits) and a written report (5 credits).Remarks Students must register for the courses themselves, or contact ETS educational administration eduets@ltu.se, not later than three days after the quarter commences.
