More information about English language requirements SelectionThe selection is based on 20-285 creditsCourse Aim With regard to individuals with problems with the extremities, after having completed the course, from a scientific foundation the student will be able to: Conduct an appropriate physiotherapeutic examination and treatment of a person on the basis of functional anatomy, pain physiology and with a biopsychosocial approach. Describe suitable examination and treatment efforts on the basis of an evidence-based approach. On the basis of medical science and proven experience, analyse and evaluate examination findings and use them to select, plan, implement and evaluate suitable treatment. Be able to explain the theoretical content of the course. Be able to explain theories, concepts, history and development of both physiotherapy and orthopaedic manual therapy. Be able to explain basic scientific theories and concepts in the field of physiotherapy. Will have knowledge of gender equality. Will have knowledge of theories of disease. Contents Practical training in skills in physiotherapeutic methods for the examination, functional assessment and treatment of people with problems with the extremities. Theoretical subject knowledge in: Motor control Motor learning Functional anatomy and biomechanics Physiology of pain Physiology and pathophysiology of muscles, tendons, ligaments, ligaments and cartilage. Physiotherapeutic theories, concepts and history Fundamental scientific theories and concepts The significance of movement, physical activity and other factors that are important to health and recovery are discussed during lessons and in self-directed work. Gender equality Pathology Realization Learning in the course will take place through lessons at scheduled course meetings in Luleå, in which theory and supervised method exercises are integrated. In addition, there will be independent work carried out either individually or in groups, both on literature reviews, study assignments and in regular patient work throughout the course. In all forms of teaching, the student will be stimulated and encouraged to problem solve on the basis of a critically reflective attitude.Examination Learning outcomes 1, 2 and 3 will be examined through a Written practical examination (test 1, 4,5 higher education credits.
