Fundamentals of Rock Mechanics

7.5 Credits, Course, master's level, T7001B
The course provides basic understanding and knowledge about theoretical and applied rock mechanics.

  The aim of the course is to give you the ability to use analytical, empirical, and numerical tools to analyze basic rock mechanic problems. You will be introduced to topics such as rock mass classification, stresses, strength, deformation, rock foundation, and slopes. You will apply you skills and knowledge to determine the stability of simple rock constructions.
