Course Aim

Welcome to the course Mine development – project course (T7018B). The objective with this course is that you improve your skills on the subject of mine development, for example regarding mine method, development work, choice of mining equipment, personnel, etc. In addition, you have the opportunity to acquire experience on working in projects, including project management, time planning, data collection, writing report and present results. These general skills are important when you in the future present results verbally or on paper, and are experienced in working in a group and within a project. In the shorter time frame, this course provides a good preparation for your thesis work.

 


Contents

In the Project work, you as will have access to material on Fronter /T7018B; IN addition, you will collect additional material from the library and mining companies.

 


Realization

This course is conducted as a development project with regularly reoccurring project meetings that you as a course participant are responsible to schedule. The main work in the course is the project work.


Examination

To pass this course you need to fulfill two accomplishments:

1. To pass the project assignment

2.To pass the review of a project assignment of another group

3.  To pass the verbal presentation of the project assignment

The combined results of these two points will be evaluates in the final grade (grades 3, 4 and 5).
