More information about English language requirements SelectionCourse AimAfter completing the course the student should be able to: • explain the basics and structure of the Swedish land legislation • explain basic concepts and principles in land legislation • identify, structure and solve specific legal problems related to land legislation • structure, analyze and discuss legal issues of land legislation where several statutes overlap.ContentsThe course includes legal preconditions for physical planning and land registration, the essence of specific rights to land and natural resources, the right of public access to land and water and the basics of environmental law.RealizationThe course includes webinars and physical meetings comprising of lectures, exercises with problem solving and seminars based on caselaw. The student should prepare each lecture by studying certain legal material and questions. The student shall prepare answers to each exercise and seminar, and be able to present them orally before the class.ExaminationIn the written exam the student must demonstrate that he or she can explain the content and structure of the Swedish land legislation, explain the basic principles and concepts in this area of law, and present proposals for solutions to legal problems related to the land legislation, in a structured and correct manner.
