Entry requirements

In order to meet the general entry reguirements for first cycle studies you must have successfully completed upper secondary education and documented skills in English language. and At least 135 points out of the total requirements for the degree (the studies shall be possible to finish within half a year).

Course Aim
The student shall be able to:
  • Define a relevant problem statement based on a selected topic within the subject of Engineering Physics and Electrical Engineering.
  • In an investigation and development or small research project, independently and systematically, apply knowledge and skills acquired through performed studies.
  • Select and motivate choice of method for the study.
  • With relevant information, analyse and suggest solution for the defined problem statement.
  • Identify, find and evaluate information, scientifically compile and summarize the information.
  • Plan research and development work.
  • Assess the relevance of the results obtained.
  • Work by schedule.
  • Present the work with good style of writing, both linguistically and scientifically.
  • Scientifically present and defend the results and findings of the work.
  • Critically and constructively review other studies.

Contents
General An accepted thesis within the subject of the program is required for the bachelor\'s degree. Time limit A student who has started a thesis, but has not completed it within 12 months, does not have the right to finish the project.

Examination
The head of the department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering is responsible for assigning an internal supervisor individually for every thesis project. Mandatory The following is required for grading a bachelor\'s thesis: • Presence at two other thesis presentations. • Being opponent at another student\'s thesis presentation. • Oral presentation of own thesis. • Written thesis graded by the internal supervisor (after adjustments based on comments from the internal supervisor and the opponent). The participation in thesis presentations should be done before the own thesis project has started. Opposition on another student\'s thesis may be done at the earliest when the internal supervisor decides that own work is completed.
