Application process, Master Musician
Your application in three steps:
1. Apply at www.universityadmissions.se
2. Audition – submit portfolio and a personal letter
3. Interview on Skype or Zoom
The University seeks applicants who demonstrate cognizance, introspection, and self-sufficiency in their artistry, in addition to high-level musical competence. In the interview, it is thus of distinction if the applicant can indicate a potential topic for the degree project, which is a central aspect of the programme. Since there is no set model for the degree project, it is favorable if the applicant is particularly passionate about a specific topic and has an awareness of both the subject to be explored, as well as the goals to be achieved.
The three steps of your application
1. Apply at universityadmissions.se External link.
Last day of application is found on the Master Programme website and on universityadmissions.se External link..

For musicians with a jazz or rock profile
The portfolio is submitted in connection with det personliga brevet in the form of clickable links, to a rich selection of audio and/or visual examples, preferably as YouTube links. We do not accept downloadable links like "yousendit.com.
The selection should provide a comprehensive view of your artistic profile. It is important that each link is accompanied by detailed descriptions of when/how/where/why and the exact role the applicant played in each production."
For musicians with a classical profile
The admission test consists of a high-quality video recording in which the applicant performs a self-selected diverse repertoire with a total duration of 20-30 minutes. Works written for soloist and accompaniment should be recorded with an accompanying pianist.
The recordings should be in video format with good audio quality. The recording should begin with you clearly stating your name. You should be visible in full frame throughout the recording, with the camera placed directly in front or at a slight angle from the front. NOTE: We will not accept recordings taken from behind or from the side.
For singers: An obligatory song and a recording of piano accompaniment will be announced on February 28. Each applicant will need to learn this song and record it on video. This recording can be done separately from the rest of the repertoire. The applicant can either use the pre-recorded accompaniment or work with a pianist
