Application Instructions for Foreign Students

How to apply to the Master Programme in Music Performance

We are glad for your interest in our Master Programme in Music. These instructions contain important information regarding your application. Please read the entire page.


Submit application on
Application deadline is January 17th, 2022.

Admission test
Deadline for submitting recordings/portfolio is March 13th, 2022.

Application and tuition fees
Deadline for receipt of application fee or documenting you are not required to pay the fee is February 1st, 2022.
Deadline for receipt of supporting documentation: February 1st, 2022

Entry requirements:

Bachelors degree of minimum 180 ECTS in the area of music and passed admission test.

Good knowledge in English, equivalent to English B/6

Documenting your eligibility for studies

After submitting your application on, the next step is to submit documentation to demonstrate your eligibility for the programme.

An important step in the documentation process is finding out if there are specific instructions for the country where you completed your education.

Application and tuition fees

Students with citizenship in countries within the EU/EEA or Switzerland are required to provide proof of citizenship in order for their application to be processed. Documenting your citizenship.

First tuition fee instalment: 119,000 SEK*
Total tuition fee: 476,000 SEK*

*EU/EEA Citizens are not required to pay fees

Application fee: 900 SEK, payable to -required-to-pay-fees.

Please observe! Your application will not be processed until you have confirmed your citizenship or paid the application fee.

Checklist for applicants:
- A scan of your passport
- Your bachelor diploma in its original language
- Your bachelor diploma translated to English or Swedish unless already issued in English/Swedish/Norwegian/Danish
- The transcripts of records of your bachelor’s degree in its original language. This needs to be a list of all the courses, credits and grades that made up your bachelor’s degree.
- Your transcripts of records translated to English or Swedish unless already issued in English/Swedish/Norwegian/Danish.
- If you are not an EU/EEA (European Citizen) citizen: Payment of your application fee
Other requirements: 
- You must supply proof of your bachelor degree. The admission DO NOT accept a master degree as proof of a bachelor degree.
- Please do note that all documents need to be scanned in color and that each page need to be signed/stamped by the issuing university.  
- All translations need to be done by a recognized translator, i.e. a person that works as a translator. The document must be stamped and signed by the translator and you must be able to tell the name of the translator from the document. There might be different demands for different countries so please read instructions carefully.
- If your degree was awarded in Bangladesh, Cameroon, Canada, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Nigeria, or the USA, your official transcript must be sent directly from your university.
NB: following applies for Italy: If you have completed academic qualifications from a conservatory and received a Diploma di Conservatorio, you need to submit your diploma and transcripts both in the original language and in translation, along with your diploma from upper secondary school, Esame di stato/Maturita.  Accepted languages for translations are Swedish or English.
