Geochemistry and mineralogy is used to study the mobility, transport and fate of high-tec critical elements in historical tailings and the quality of the mine drainage downstream the tailings. Focus has been om beryllium, fluoride and tungsten, but several other elements are also of interest (e.g. Bi, Ge, In, Sn). The results will generate a sustainable environment within the mining industri when the usage of these elements increase in society due to climate change.
