UNIVERSEH
Luleå University of Technology is part of UNIVERSEH, a European University whose aim is to facilitate mobility and multilingualism, promote inclusion and diversity, support interdisciplinary courses and programs and strengthen educational innovation and entrepreneurship in Europe.
The University of the Arctic - UArctic
The University of the Arctic (UArctic) is a network of universities, colleges, research institutes, and other organizations concerned with education and research in and about the North.
UArctic builds and strengthens collective resources and infrastructures that enable member institutions to better serve their constituents and their regions.
Through cooperation in education (including mobility), research, and outreach, UArctic enhances human capacity in the North, promotes viable communities and sustainable economies, and forges global partnerships. Created through the Arctic Council, UArctic is committed to upholding its principles of sustainable development as well as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. UArctic is constituted as an international association based in Finland.
MIRAI 2024-2026
MIRAI 2024-2026 is a three-year collaboration project between universities in Sweden and Japan. The aim is to promote academic education and research cooperation and to foster collaboration with funders, government agencies and industry. The academic topics that are the focus of MIRAI 2024-2026 are:
Challenge 1: Health and an ageing population (part of SDG 3)
Challenge 2: Climate adaptation, disaster and risk management and prevention (part of SDG 13)
Challenge 3: Resilient cities and communities - policies, strategies, local governance and urban planning (part of SDG 11)
Challenge 4: Energy conversion and storage materials: renewable energy, solar energy conversion, electrification, sustainable processes and resource use (part of SDG 7)

SASUF
The South Africa-Sweden University Forum (SASUF) is a collaborative project between Swedish and South African universities. The aim is to strengthen ties between South Africa and Sweden in research, education and innovation, with a focus on the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
SASUF also extends beyond academia, linking universities, research funders, industries, ministries and the rest of society. The first phase of the project was between 2017 and 2021.
On January 1, 2022, a new phase started under the name SASUF 2030.
The main activities of the project
SASUF organizes annual research and innovation weeks where researchers from all participating universities meet.
In connection with SASUF 2030, two different calls for funds for bilateral collaborations will be launched: Seed funds and virtual exchange.
Swetaly
Swetaly University Collaboration is a collaboration to strengthen relations between Sweden and Italy in research and higher education.
The Swetaly University Collaboration is a partnership to strengthen relations between Sweden and Italy in research and higher education.
Swetaly was launched in 2019, and so far more than 30 universities in both countries have expressed their interest in participating.
Swetaly is coordinated by the University of Gothenburg together with Örebro University.
The collaboration is based on three themes: artificial intelligence (AI), ageing and academic freedom/researchers at risk.
