Department of Engineering Sciences and Mathematics
Our focus is on industrial collaboration and scientific excellence and we excel at all levels. We have excellent laboratories and world-class equipment in areas such as tribology, materials, energy, electricity, fluid theory, strength theory, wood and bionano composites. Our researchers lead international projects in a number of areas.
The Department of Engineering Sciences and Mathematics has about 300 employees and conducts research in 15 research subjects and three centers of excellence. You can find us in the E-building on the campus in Luleå and at LTU in Skellefteå.
