The Vice-Chancellor's Research Infrastructure Council: 17 April 2026
The meeting addressed several ongoing issues related to research infrastructure at LTU, including the development of a future battery cell production lab, the mapping of analytical equipment, the status of LUMIA, and the need for clearer career paths for personnel within research infrastructure. The council was also informed about the ongoing Lab Fund call, the work on policy and guidelines for research infrastructure, and the planning of the Research Infrastructure Days at LTU 2027. A first summary of a survey on computational resources at LTU was presented, and under other matters an upcoming visit from MAX IV was noted. The next meeting will be held on 9 June 2026.
