Pilot programme for utilisation of results in DeepTech - SPiRiT
Within the programme, we will develop a national program to support researchers and as a complement to the innovation support.
SPiRiT is a new programme designed to provide researchers with the answers on how to maximize the societal benefits of their cutting-edge research (DeepTech).
It is a national programme and is intended to complement the innovation support that already exists at universities. The aim is that SPIRIT will also help to improve the quality and competence of the innovation support system and help to develop the culture within higher education institutions.
There is a critical need for new transformative solutions to manage the transition to a green and sustainable society. And this creates a need for faster translation of research results into society and a greater exchange of information between academia and the rest of society.
The increasingly fast-changing world requires the development of mindsets and skills to navigate and effectively manage challenges and opportunities. It also requires a culture within higher education institutions that promotes a more agile and open approach to the outside world. And we want to maintain Sweden's leading position in innovation.
The project started on December 5, 2023 and will run until June 30, 2025.
