

Strengthening the Social Innovation Ecosystem in the North (SESIN)
The project aims to strengthen the ecosystem for social innovation in northern Sweden by improving support for social innovators and entrepreneurs. This will contribute to a sustainable and inclusive societal transformation, where people thrive in both urban and rural areas.
Target groups:
- Primary target group: Business support actors, such as innovation offices, business advisors, public actors and incubators, that help realise business ideas and innovations.
- Secondary target group: Social enterprises, non-profit organisations and public actors working with social innovation.
The project includes activities to:
- Map and strengthen the framework conditions for social innovation.
- Conduct workshops for local community development.
- Establish a social innovation incubator.
- Create knowledge loops for shared learning on social innovation.
The project also works to raise awareness of social innovation, shift perceptions, and concrete support structures.
In summary, the project aims to support and develop social innovation in the region, which can lead to a more inclusive and sustainable societal development.
