About the company

HALA Byggplåtslageri AB is a building plate warehouse operating in Norrbotten, with offices and workshop premises in Gammelstad outside Luleå.

We perform sheet metal work, service and maintenance of everything in the industry and our customers are both large and small, such as construction companies, real estate companies, housing associations, private individuals.

About the assignment

HALA Byggplåtslageri AB wants help in finding digital tools, programs, hardware and working methods that facilitate and streamline the work, and contribute to a safer work environment.
Much of the work takes place at high altitude, in a geographical region where it is cold, dark and snowy half the year. A large part of the work before mounting the plates is about measuring and finding solutions.
A major question is therefore: Is there technology today that can facilitate and streamline the work? Can 3D models, programs, drones or similar contribute to development?

The assignment will consist of

• Follow our business and see our different workplaces.
• Identify work steps that can be facilitated and streamlined with new technology.
• Investigating and informing us about different digital tools, hardware and technology.
• Develop a plan for any training required
• Be an idea generator

After reviewing the business and the workplaces, you will be able to work remotely.

You will also be given the opportunity to visit other sheet metal shops and their workplaces around Sweden, depending on your place of residence, to see if they work with other methods.

Appropriate programmes may include

Ongoing studies in the programmes digital service development, computer technology, civil engineer / college engineer computer technology or similar. Preferably interest and or experience in civil engineering and architecture.
