The Center for Research and Development of the Region's Enterprises celebrates two years
Yesterday, Norrlandsnavet at Luleå University of Technology celebrated 2 years. The celebration was held at Vetenskapens hus in Luleå with talks between companies, PhD students and key people from Norrlandsnavet.
Hanna Blomster, among other things, communications manager at Norrlandsnavet, was today's moderator and talked about Norrlandsnavet and its work. First out in the program was a conversation with Norrlandsnavets student coordinator, Emelie Paulsson, and Moa Johansson, CEO of Containing Greens, which collaborates with Luleå University of Technology's students through Norrlandsnavet. During the conversation, both Emelie and Moa had the opportunity to talk about student collaboration from both perspectives, from Norrlandsnavet's eyes and from the entrepreneur's.
- It has been worth its weight in gold to have students on site who have worked with free rein, Moa Johansson concluded.
It was Niklas Johansson, PhD student in pedagogy, who represented Norrlandsnavets PhD students on stage. Together with Sara Thorgren, professor of entrepreneurship and innovation, they talked about the challenges of research and business. The way Norrlandsnavet works is a new way of working for both researchers and companies. The challenge is to get the companies to know that Norrlandsnavet exists, how they can participate and what they can get help with.
Pernilla Tingvall, from Luleå University of Technology and project manager for Lifelong Learning, told more about the concepts of MOOC, digital courses that are open to everyone. Over 15,000 people around the world have already started the university's MOOCs and the courses cover topics such as entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence in the hospitality industry and project management. New for this fall is MOOC+, which means that you can also meet other participants online to discuss various elements and insights linked to the course content, similar to a study circle.
