Knowledge on environmental pollution, its risks and remediation methods.

The course provides fundamental understanding of environmental pollution, its occurrence, risks and treatment. It covers pollution in air, water, soil and waste as well as contaminant types such as metals and organic pollutants (e.g. PFAS and pesticides). Focus is placed on legislation, chemical properties and treatment techniques.
