Design and AI

The course introduces the intersection of artificial intelligence and design, where theory meets hands-on exploration. You will examine how AI and machine learning can serve as creative and analytical tools throughout the design process – from identifying opportunities and generating ideas to prototyping and evaluating solutions. The course encourages an explorative approach where students experiment with generative AI, data-driven design, and human–AI collaboration. Through practical exercises, you will learn how AI can be integrated into design workflows to create innovative products and services, including hands-on implementation of AI and machine learning in game engines.

Through workshops, group projects, and reflective work, you will develop both technical skills and a critical understanding of how AI is reshaping creativity, ethics, and sustainability within design. The course prepares future designers not only to  design with  AI but also to  design for  a world shaped by intelligent systems.
