Advanced UX/UI design

The course provides an in-depth and applied understanding of digital graphic design with a focus on UX (User Experience) and UI (User Interface). You will develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in how visual design systems, component libraries, structure, typography, color, motion, and interaction work together within modern digital platforms.

Through lectures, workshops, supervision, design critiques (show-and-tell), and studio work, you will design advanced digital user interfaces using contemporary design tools and methods. You will learn how to develop and apply visual design systems and design patterns in practical projects, as well as independently plan, execute, and complete a digital artifact within given time frames.

The course also highlights visual storytelling and information design as strategic tools for creating clear, accessible, and engaging user experiences. At the same time, you will develop the ability to critically reflect on digital design solutions in terms of aesthetics, quality, functionality, and usability — and to understand how communication and design technologies influence both design practice and user behavior.

Through a final project, you will design and complete a digital product, accompanied by a reflection on your design process, your design decisions, and your individual learning. The course prepares you for qualified professional work in digital design within a dynamic and evolving context.
