Course content
The first module the basics of data analysis. Here you will unravel the mysteries of data itself, delve into the Cross-Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM) and equip yourself with a toolbox full of practical tools. The beauty of this module is that it does not require any previous programming knowledge. You will become adept at using versatile tools like RapidMiner, standard Excel, Weka and even venture into the realm of programming with Python.
Once you have mastered the art of deciphering data, our second module entices you to explore the field of machine learning. You will discover how you can empower machines to work seamlessly with data, facilitating their ability to learn and adapt. We will delve into the evaluation of machine learning algorithms and explore real-world applications such as ChatGPT, where machine learning is at the center of processing and understanding text.
In the third module, the focus is on visual data. You will gain insight into how computers perceive and interpret visual information, giving you an insight into the fascinating world of computer vision.
How the course will be delivered
The course combines self-study and online meetings. The course is structured as follows: Tutorials (36 hours) Online meetings (4.5 hours).
To pass the course
You must participate in all online meetings and submission of all individual assignments is required. This ensures that participants understand and master the course content and can apply their newly acquired knowledge and skills in practice.
