Content of the course
The course deals with design of stormwater ponds, biofilters, infiltration systems, retention systems, etc. and calculation of design rainfall and flows.
Structure
Mainly seminars on design of stormwater facilities. Preparatory tasks as self-study.
Course structure
Self-study: about 6 hours
Meetings: about 12 hours, submissions and examination: 22 hours.

Teachers
Godecke Blecken is a professor in Urban Water Engineering and has worked with BGI since 2005. He has researched stormwater treatment and retention with BGI. Specific focus has been on function in different climates, long-term function and maintenance, treatment of "new" pollutants and the role of vegetation for treatment. He is the author of several Swedish reports and recommendations for dimensioning of BGI.
