About the course
This is a problem-based course specific to industrial sectors. The problems can be provided by the course director or students can bring their own problems from their work. Common problems include e.g. asset management by balancing cost versus performance, identifying, detecting, predicting, and planning for unexpected outages, disruptions or failures, exploring challenges and opportunities with AI and digitalization, monitoring the condition of industrial assets, and achieving sustainability goals. The course is given as a contract education and is subject to a fee.
You will learn
After successful completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- describe the terms eMaintenance and Industrial AI
- analyse advanced data analytics techniques related to operations and maintenance
- maintenance processes in an industrial context
- demonstrate AI and digitalization in an industrial context
- identify and apply appropriate advanced data analysis techniques related to operation and maintenance processes in industrial contexts.
Outline
The training package consists of understanding and implementing the following content:
- eMaintenance and Industrial AI
- Overview of related digital and AI technologies
- Software development
- Software engineering
- AI for maintenance analysis
- Information logistics
- Distributed computing, cloud/edge
- Overview of cybersecurity in eMaintenance solutions
Five days and eight hours of teaching, hands-on, and lab work. The problems we solve can either be provided by the course coordinator or the students can bring their own problems.
