Information security culture at work
Are you aware of digital risks and threats in your workplace? Learn how to manage risks and security aspects linked to digital systems, and how to contribute to creating a healthy information security culture in your workplace. What does it mean to maintain good cyber hygiene, and what can actually happen if you open an email from an unknown sender and click on the link? The course is useful for everyone who uses the internet in different ways in their work.

This course is for those who work with digital systems in their daily activities, but do not necessarily have a background in IT. You want to learn more about the basics and strengthen your ability to manage risks and security aspects.

Course content
The course is divided into three modules that together combine information security and leadership; Context and focus: your organization; Me and my work; and Personal cyber hygiene and good habits. In the course we use various activities to support your learning, these are: Preparatory video; Preparatory reading; Reflection in the form of a think tank, and online dialog meetings.
Structure
The course gives you the opportunity to think (before) and reflect on security in digital work. You will be supported by experienced facilitators. The approach promotes structured and systematic reflection. The course is designed to challenge you in your approach, regardless of your experience. The total study time of the course is estimated at 40 hours, divided into each module: Module 1 (16h) 14h self-study + 2h meeting Module 2 (16h) 14h self-study + 2h meeting Module 3 (8h) 6h self-study + 2h meeting
In order to pass the course
Completion of the preparatory exercises and active participation in the mandatory online meetings. The course participants are also expected to reflect on information security at their own workplace and document it in the form of a 'think tank'.

Åsa Ericson, Professor
Associate Professor Johan Lugnet and Professor Åsa Ericson are the teachers involved in the execution of the course. They are both active at the Division of Digital Services and Systems. Their common knowledge is based on long experience in applied research that is closely linked to organizations' ability to digitize and, above all, the importance of human factors when it comes to information security, leadership and employeeship.
