Lean production
Lean production consists of a set of principles and techniques embedded in business systems and processes. These can be derived from a specific business philosophy and strategy that encompasses the entire organization's operations. The course provides an understanding of the basic strategies and principles of lean production. It also provides a basis for further study of how the new generation of world-leading companies operating under a lean business strategy conduct their business.

Target group:
The course is aimed at those who work in an organization that is considering a lean business strategy.
Prerequisites:
Basic eligibility (even those who do not have basic eligibility can follow the course but then no credits are given).
Scope:
10 course days. 7.5 credits. The course consists of five two-day meetings that include discussion lectures, practical exercises and analysis of operations in companies that practice lean methodology. The teacher-led teaching takes place during course meetings that are planned at approximately 4-6 week intervals.

The course is carried out as commissioned training and is subject to a fee.
The price is SEK 22,000 (excluding VAT).

About the course

The course provides an understanding of the basic strategies and principles of lean production. - Lean production strategies and principles
- Stable processes and standardized way of working
- Design of value streams
- Pulling and pushing production systems
- Quality philosophy and methodology
- Teamwork, commitment and participation
- Management system with PDCA methodology
- Business collaboration along value streams
- Transformation to a Lean company culture
Planned meetings
The course is implemented physically through 5 meetings over two days within a 6-month period.
Location and place for meetings are finally decided when we know where our participants come from. The starting point is that the meetings are in the Luleå and Skellefteå area.
