About the course
This course package equips you with the essentials of maintenance and RAMS. You will learn about maintenance management and tools like RCM and FMEA, and measure effectiveness through KPIs. You will also explore economics of asset lifecycle, including cost analysis and planning. The course package also includes the current trends in maintenance like advance technologies for condition monitoring, and AI-driven prediction and life length estimation.

The course is structured into four detailed course modules:
1. Introduction to Maintenance and RAMS
- Basic knowledge and terminology in maintenance
- Preventive and Corrective Maintenance
- Improvement and modification in maintenance
- RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Maintenance Supportability)
- Maintenance and maintenance processes within Physical Asset Management
- Organizational aspects of maintenance
- Improvement techniques (Total Productive Maintenance, TPM, and 5S) and effectiveness metrics (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
- Introduction to Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Safety and human error principles
2. Maintenance Management and Strategy
- Fundamentals of maintenance management
- Maintenance objectives and policies
- Development of maintenance plans using bottom-up and top-down approaches
- Application and understanding of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
- Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for strategic planning in maintenance
