We are delighted to invite you to Euroslag 2026, an international conference jointly organised by Luleå University of Technology, Jernkontoret and the metal research institute Swerim. On June 16-18, 2026, leading figures from the steel industry, slag processors, equipment providers, government authorities, researchers, and end-users of slag will come together in Luleå, Sweden, to address key challenges and opportunities in the field.
As the steel and metallurgical industries work towards reducing CO2 emissions, the characteristics of the slags produced are also changing. Euroslag 2026 will explore innovative and sustainable uses for slag, including applications that could further lower the carbon footprint of these industries. Legislative updates and environmental issues will also feature prominently in the discussions.
This is a unique opportunity to network with industry experts, gain insights from cutting-edge presentations, and contribute to shaping a more sustainable future for metallurgy. A preliminary conference programme will be published in late autumn 2025.
