Academic Ceremony 2025

The Academic Ceremony includes conferment of doctoral degrees, promotion of honorary doctors, inauguration of new professors, welcoming of new adjunct professors and awarding of academic prizes.

The ceremony is held in the Main hall (Stora salen) of Kulturens hus.

Program

14:00 Mingle outside the Main hall

15:30 Doors to the Main Hall open

15:45 All guests should be seated. Free seating, except for reserved seats at the front.

16:00 The ceremony starts

approx. 18:00 The ceremony ends

The ceremony is followed by a banquet at the university campus for participants and invited guests.

How to register

An invitation with a registration link to the ceremony and banquet will be sent out to participants and invited guests in early September.

It is possible to participate during the ceremony in Kulturens hus as a university employee or as an extra guest to a new doctor, honorary doctor, professor, adjunct professor or award winner. Registration via akademiskhogtid@ltu.se no later than 6 November 2025.
