Site visit: Luleå
Life in the North is full of opportunities and adventures!
On February 25, you’re invited as a student to a Site Visit Day in Luleå, where you’ll meet a range of attractive employers who will share how they work with students, what skills they’re looking for, and what the path into their organizations can look like.
Throughout the day, you’ll explore exciting and up-to-date community development projects that show how cities are being shaped and transformed for the future. You’ll gain insight into how companies in the field actively contribute to these projects and how collaboration between different stakeholders helps drive progress.
The focus is on areas such as community development, architecture, urban planning, and road and water construction—where theory meets practice in real, hands-on projects. The day also includes personal examples of how students have taken the step from education into employment, offering a clear picture of what it’s like to work in the industry and the career opportunities available.
An inspiring day filled with real projects, current challenges, and future job prospects.
You’ll also have the chance to build valuable connections, meet employers, and take part in the year’s major Recruitment Fair—perfect if you’re looking for a summer job, a thesis project, or want to start building relationships for your future career.
And the grand finale? Experience the international (Dutch) speed skating competition “Grand Prix Luleå” and the story of —why did they choose Luleå?
Luleå is investing heavily in local, national, and international world-class events—from the unique Sea Ice Marathon and Grand Prix races on natural ice to local events all year round, including the Splash music festival returning to Luleå in August.
We’ll wrap up the day at an activity camp just 15 minutes by bus from the city center, with a high-energy winter and ice activity that truly shows why life in the North is anything but slow-paced — followed by a shared dinner.
So… are you in?
Maybe this is where your next adventure - and your future - begins.
The day is organized by the Talent Hub North project, which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and co-financed by Region Norrbotten.
