09:00–11:00 Study visit at BROKK
Brokk in Skellefteå develops world-leading electric and remote-controlled robots used globally in construction, mining, tunnelling and process industries. Here, you can work with control systems, power systems and intelligent functions that enable safe and efficient operations in demanding environments with high requirements for robustness and reliability.
The company is the global market leader in remote-controlled demolition technology and delivers solutions to projects in more than 100 countries, offering the opportunity to work internationally while being based in Skellefteå. The site hosts headquarters, development and testing, where engineers work close to the product in modern environments focused on innovation and sustainable technology development. You will contribute to developing the next generation of electrified machines that improve workplace safety and reduce climate impact.

13:00–14:00 Guided tour of Sara Cultural Centre
Skellefteå Kraft will guide you through the technical solutions and demonstrate how energy flows, digital monitoring and sustainable design are implemented in practice. This is an opportunity to experience how future technologies are applied in one of Europe’s most acclaimed buildings.
Sara Cultural Centre is one of the world’s tallest timber buildings and an example of how engineering can enable sustainable urban development on a large scale. The building combines innovative cross-laminated timber construction with advanced energy systems, smart control and integrated solutions for low climate impact.
14:30–16:30 Study visit at Metso
Metso in Skellefteå offers the opportunity to work with electrification, automation and process technology that contribute to more resource-efficient metal extraction and recycling – key elements of the global green transition.
You will join more than one hundred engineering colleagues in an international environment where projects and deliveries reach facilities around the world, while living and working in Skellefteå. The office works with equipment for mines, smelters and gas cleaning solutions, where automation and electrical engineering are central to functionality, safety and energy-efficient operation. You will work in modern office and laboratory environments where development, testing and commissioning take place close to operations. Metso combines local engineering expertise with global impact – offering a tangible opportunity to contribute to the sustainable industry of the future.
