The position as Marketing Manager ends
The Marketing Manager position at Luleå University of Technology will end at the turn of this year as a natural consequence of the radical organisational change in the business support that was previously decided. Due to this, Pål Kastensson will leave the University.
– This is an arrangement that both parties agree on. During his years at the University, Pål has made a strong contribution to strengthening the brand and increasing awareness of the University. We will be able to build on his work and I wish him all the best in his future professional life, says Veronika Sundström, Head of Professional Services.
Luleå University of Technology was the first University in Sweden to employ a Marketing Manager in 2004. Since then, the brand has developed from being known by just over one percent of Sweden's population to today’s 47 percent.
Decision in consensus
The new internal organisation at the University, which comes into force on January 1 of 2021 with larger departments, contributes to a higher degree of equality with the university sector in general.
– We have jointly decided to go separate ways when the new organisation comes into force at the turn of the year 2020/2021, says Pål Kastensson. I want to thank all the fantastic employees at the University that I have had the privilege of working with over the years and I wish the university good luck in the future.
